This workshop is designed to help job seekers find a federal career field that fits their passion and strengths.
At the end of the workshop participants will be able to:
(1) Examine different ways to enter the federal government;
(2) Determine what kind of federal jobs are in the federal government and which ones are in high demand;
(3) Scan for and identifying the most important parts of a job announcement; and
(4) Gather important information for the application.

About the Facilitator
Lora’s expertise is in customer experience, data analytics, and project management at General Services Administration. She currently leads CX projects for a $26 billion organization of 700+ people, helping GSA to transform into a customer-centric organization that improves government’s ability to obtain critical IT products/services more efficiently & effectively.
Prior to GSA, Lora managed workforce transformation initiatives at U.S. Customs and Border Protection that impacted agency culture and 60,000 employees nation-wide. Prior to DHS, she managed two department-wide HR recruitment programs for the U.S. Department of Education (ED) serving as an advisor to political leadership and being an advocate for emerging leaders who are changing and improving how the Department serves 14,000+ school districts and countless students. She also developed and implemented new human capital strategies to re-energize ED’s workforce, focusing on process improvement, employee recruitment, leadership development and retention, and workplace engagement.
Lora is a graduate of the Presidential Management Fellows Program, serving across federal government and in different mission-critical occupations to improve processes, user experiences, and mission results.
