FEDERAL CAREER CONNECTION, INC. ANNOUNCES APPOINTMENT OF NEW OFFICERS TO THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS
ALEXANDRIA, VIRGINIA, Mar. 23, 2022 – Federal Career Connection, Inc. (FCC, Inc.) today announced the appointment of two new officers to the Board of Directors: newly appointed Secretary, Ivy Oyegun, a public health Epidemiologist serving with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and Treasurer Malis Rasmussen, a Chief Financial Examiner at Utah Insurance Department.
About Ivy Oyegun, Secretary
Oyegun joins FCC, Inc. with over ten years as a public health epidemiologist serving in private, federal, and state service–and most recently leading special projects to address the COVID-19 response. Her devotion to public service is evident through various public service functions including serving as the Vice President of the International Students Organization at Boston University. And for the past six years she has served as a volunteer with the United Way.
In some of her duties as Secretary to the Board, Oyegun will serve as an active conduit for communication between the board, management, and volunteers, by giving proper notice of any meetings and timely distribution of materials such as agendas and meeting minutes. She will also provide advice and resources to the board on relevant topics at issue, such as particular governance matters being addressed at a meeting or a new amendment to the Articles of Incorporation.
She earned a BS degree in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology and a Master’s degree in Public Health practice.
About Malis Rasmussen, Treasurer
Rasmussen comes to the FCC, Inc. with a plethora of financial experience. She currently serves as Deputy Director and Chief Financial Examiner of the Financial Regulation & Licensing Division of the Utah Insurance Department and is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer of Metrics Alliance.
As the Treasurer to the Board of Directors, Rasmussen will manage and deposit all funds and securities of FCC Inc. and keep full and accurate accounts of receipts and disbursements in books belonging to the organization. She will also provide financial management and oversight; oversee the management of FCC Inc. financial affairs; and create and maintain systems for ensuring FCC Inc’s ongoing solvency and oversee the development of the organization’s financial policies. She earned a Master’s degree in accounting and is a member of the Delta Mu Delta Honors Society.
